Managing Director, Operations

LaTonya Berryhill, MBA, is the Managing Director, Operations for the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR). LaTonya has been with MICHR for 13 years and has 18 years of service at the University of Michigan. She has a background in human resources, event planning, business operations, management, and facilitation. In addition, LaTonya is an Implementation Lead for the University’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative. In her role as an Implementation Lead, she works to support the DEI strategy plans & goals of MICHR, Michigan Medicine, and the University. She oversees engagement, training & development, and DEI activities at MICHR. LaTonya is a trained facilitator in unconscious bias, navigating bias, hiring and selection best practices, navigating multi-generations in the workplace, bystander and constructive dialogue. She is also the creator of the DEI "Becoming" series. The series is centered on personal storytelling, self-reflection, & honest vulnerability in the DEI space and provides an opportunity to learn more about colleagues and the impact that DEI has on their lives. LaTonya co-leads the Michigan Medicine DEI Black Voices Resource Group and the Michigan Medicine Facilitator Learning Collective.
