Applied Biostatistical Sciences Network Lecture Series

  • Danto Auditorium CVC (map)

Adaptive designs have been a recent topic in clinical trials literature. Dr. Cathie Spino, D.Sc., University of Michigan School of Public Health, will be presenting on Comparing and Communicating Adaptive Designs for a Dose-Ranging Study. She will review a taxonomy of adaptive designs used in clinical trials and present an example used for an appropriate adaptive design in a dose-ranging study for deep vein thrombosis prophylaxis. Since these are non-standard designs, the discussion will include the challenges in presenting the dose-selection strategies and results of clinical trials simulations.

Zingerman's will be serving lunch with a vegetarian option.
