What is this service?

Translating research insights into usable products and services can be a nebulous process. We help teams with both strategy and execution for navigating the ambiguity. Beginning with a human-centered design consultation, we partner with research teams across the University of Michigan to help them transform research ideas into full interventions. Our unique approach actively focuses on engaging the product or service's target audience throughout the entire design process. We are happy to help study teams at any point along the research process, from proposal development to study implementation.

Past partnerships have produced:

  • Grant proposals featuring human-centered design methodology

  • Patient- and community-centered health services

  • Easy-to-use digital products for health interventions

  • Services and systems that promote connection and collaboration
