Seven faculty and staff members who contribute enormously to the research environment at U-M will be honored at the 2024 Mentoring Forum, co-sponsored by the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) and the Medical School Office of Faculty Development, on September 27, 2024.

The award was established in 2012 to recognize faculty who foster the intellectual, creative, scholarly, and professional growth of their students, fellows, and trainees in the areas of clinical and translational health and research. Out of a competitive field of remarkable research leaders, MICHR has selected individuals who meet the highest standard for clinical and translational research mentorship.

All are invited to celebrate our awardees and the spirit of mentorship at the September 27, 2024, Mentoring Forum featuring Elizabeth Harry, MD, Chief Wellness Officer, Medical School, University of Michigan. Dr. Harry will present on the importance of well-being.

Following Dr. Harry’s talk, the seven mentors who contribute enormously to the research environment at U-M will be honored with the 2024 Distinguished Clinical and Translational Research Mentor Award and Peer Mentor Award. The awards will be presented by Emily Somers, PhD, ScM, Faculty Lead for Mentoring Programs, Education & Mentoring Group, MICHR, Professor of Internal Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology, School of Medicine, and Professor of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health.
