As researchers, you have a lot of different audiences that may benefit from knowing about your work (ex. funders, patients, community members, industry partners, etc.). But most research training focuses on how to communicate to others in your field. This workshop will address this challenge by teaching the importance of value propositions and communicating research in a way that makes it compelling for every audience. Often referred to as the “elevator pitch,” you will have the opportunity to create one for your research that can be used at any social gathering, departmental meeting, or professional conference.
