Help U-M Test Protocol Builder for Research Protocols
U-M is piloting Protocol Builder, a web-based tool designed to make it easier for researchers to create clear, compliant study protocols. Developed by BRANY, a national organization that offers tools to support research investigators and sponsors, this MICHR-funded pilot will help determine if the tool is a good fit for the U-M research community.
Why participate?
- Prepare. As U-M prepares to transition to a new eResearch system, stand-alone written protocols will be required for human research studies.
- Hands-on practice. The tool that walks you through protocol development, provides helpful prompts, and supports team collaboration.
- Shape the future. Your feedback will directly inform U-M’s approach to protocol development and help guide future tools and processes.
Who can join?
We’re looking for researchers, study staff, students, instructors, faculty supervising student research, and research administrators who are involved in protocol development.
What’s involved?
You’ll try out the Protocol Builder Tool instead of your usual method (e.g., using an MS Word template) to write protocols. Along the way, we’ll ask for your thoughts through a few short surveys and may follow up if we need more detail. Sharing your feedback should take no more than 30 minutes total.
Interested?
Complete the Interest Form. The team will follow up with next steps.
