CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Faculty Leadership Positions in Diversity and Health Equity in Clinical and Translational Science

June 19, 2024

The Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) seeks to advance clinical and translational science—a field that generates scientific and operational innovations that overcome longstanding challenges along the translational research pipeline. These include scientific, operational, financial, and administrative innovations that transform the way that research is done, making it faster, more efficient, and more impactful. When these types of innovations advance diversity and health equity, they can make research more impactful for all groups.

MICHR is currently seeking faculty interested in developing institutional programming that advances diversity and health equity in the clinical and translational research process. The selected faculty would work with the MICHR Innovation, Diversity, Health Equity, Accountability, & Leadership in Clinical and Translational Science (IDEAL-CTS program) to address diversity and health equity through the process-focused lens of CTS.

The position is open to UM faculty of any rank and any track, in any school or college, or physicians and other doctorally-trained clinical providers with primary appointments at U-M Health Affiliate Institutions. These faculty positions require a commitment of 10% effort per 12-month calendar year. This is a one-year appointment with an opportunity for renewal pending performance.

Faculty would  work closely with faculty, staff, and community members, to collaboratively generate dissemination products, including abstracts and manuscripts for peer-reviewed literature, and vision and develop new programming. Resources to support this programming are available.
