Carissa J. Schmidt is a Research Area Specialist Lead with MICHR’s Evaluation & Quality Improvement initiatives. She brings experience in behavioral science, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement, with a particular interest in applying design thinking approaches to help teams better understand challenges and strengthen programs and services. Prior to joining MICHR, Carissa led evaluation and research initiatives across higher education, public health, and industry settings. She earned her BS from Central Michigan University and her MPH and PhD in Health Behavior & Health Equity from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
