Kate Helegda

Program Manager MI-CORRE

Community Engagement,

Katharine (Kate) Helegda is the Program Manager for MI-CORRE and is responsible for developing a statewide group that reviews research. She also manages CE Bridges – the community engagement teams’ monthly newsletter. Prior to joining MICHR, Kate worked in research and evaluation, most recently as an Evaluation Associate at the U-M School of Social Work Program Evaluation Group (PEG). Her personal approach to research and evaluation has been guided by the principle that findings should be actionable and accessible. This approach is what drew her to find a position with MICHR and shifting career focus to the field of translational science.
