‘Research Jams’ Help Take Teams from Ideation to Funding

Join MICHR’s Interdisciplinary Research Experts for Interactive Facilitated Workshops

MICHR’s new Research Jams are designed to assist groups of faculty surface cutting-edge research ideas, build collaborations, create shared research agendas, and develop strategic action plans or grant proposals.

Engaging virtual or in-person workshops, tailored to needs and goals, will immerse research teams in a creative and collaborative environment that fosters ideation and drives productivity.

This service is ideal for both loosely formed or well-established groups.

Four types of Research Jams commonly offered are:

  • Ideation Jams: Bringing together new or loosely formed teams to identify complex problems and ways to tackle them collaboratively

  • Strategy Jams: Guiding small, cohered teams in creating research opportunities and pilot projects

  • Visioning Jams: Helping units/initiatives identify their audiences, value propositions and key activities

  • Proposal Jams: Mobilizing teams to respond to specific funding opportunity announcements
