Improve Your Mentoring Skills at 2021 MICHR Mentoring Academy

Do you want to develop and hone your mentoring skills? Do you have a mentor training requirement you need to fulfill? The 2021 MICHR Mentoring Academy curriculum is based on the widely used Mentor Training for Clinical and Translational Researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER) and satisfies the new NIGMS guidelines regarding the preparation of mentors involved in training grants.

Each 2-hour session is designed to develop and hone mentoring skills for senior postdocs and faculty in clinical and translational research.  Participants in the sessions will learn how to better coach and counsel other less-experienced mentors, as well as enhance their own interpersonal skills for mutually beneficial mentor-mentee interactions.  Participants will also address challenges facing faculty mentors via case studies, group discussions, and role-plays.

The Mentoring Academy kicks off Thursday, March 25. Learn more and register here.
